Department of Computer Science

Computers play a significant role in the pharmaceutical industry, aiding in various aspects such as pharmacy billing, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, drug-drug interaction detection, and drug development. They help reduce manufacturing errors, medical errors, and clinical errors, while also managing data and assisting in the product formulation process. In clinical development, computers are used for data collection, analysis, statistical treatment, and interpretation of data. They are also utilized in drug designing, discovery, and development, as well as system designing. Additionally, computing technology has been successfully applied in bioinformatics, particularly in the identification of drug-target interactions, synergistic drug combinations, and drug repositioning. The use of computers in pharmacy has had a positive impact on both clients and professionals, contributing to the development and innovation of technology in the field .
